Allow me to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Deborah A. R. Wilson; I am the principal of
Comstock
Elementary School
. I have been an educator for
25 years; the last nine I have performed as an assistant principal.
I began my administrator career at
Poinciana
Park
Elementary School
as an ESE assistant principal then as the curriculum assistant principal.
After six years, I was assigned to Westview
Middle School
for a year, where I had an opportunity to learn about the district’s
secondary reform. I was then
asked to transfer to
Miami
Springs
Elementary School
where I worked diligently to improve the Special Education department
which resulted in an increased percentage of students being serviced
through the inclusion model. This
summer I was asked to go to work at
Benjamin
Franklin
Elementary School
which afforded me the opportunity to further understand the steps involved
in effectively implementing the Continuous Improvement Model and plan for
school-wide departmentalization. As
you can see, I have had vast experience in education and I feel confident
that I will be able to utilize it in conjunction with the progress you
have made in the past few years to continue to provide all students with
the best opportunity to increase their knowledge.
I
am excitedly looking forward to this upcoming year where Comstock
Elementary School
will continue to Reach for the Stars and going DOWN is Not an Option.
Sincerely,
Deborah A. R.
Wilson, Principal
